Billing Changes from November 1st 2023
Due to changes in the 2023-24 Federal Budget and the indexation of Medicare, First Light Healthcare is pleased to be able to Bulk Bill eligible consultations for children 15yrs and under, Pensioners and those with a valid Health Care Card from 1st November 2023.
Please note* Saturday appointments will continue to be privately billed with no discounts or bulk billing offered.
Our practice is participating in MyMedicare – a new program which started on 1st October that strengthens the relationship between you as a patient, your doctor and your care team.
Benefits include funding for longer telehealth appointments, more regular consultations and a wider range of care services. It also enables better communication between hospitals and your doctor regarding your care. We encourage early enrolment to be eligible for benefits as soon as they are available.
Online bookings for GP and Allied Health appointments are available via our Hotdoc booking system.
